How can educators assess the new kind of work that is arising from the multimedia, multi-networked population? One must first establish the framework: what is assessed and how? This is new pedagogy (TCPK) that has new vocabulary and new standards. Not a lot of research has been done, in part because of the newness of the technology and the evolution of how knowledge is acquired, synthesized, evaluated and validated in what I shall call for the puprose of this literature review Modern Media (MM). First, the multimedia, multi-network tools must be defined. These are tools which connect users, in targeted ways, via the content that the user inputs to the computer.
